Personal Track Safety (PTS) and DC COnductor Rail (DCCR), Controller of Site Safety (COSS), Individual Working Alone (IWA), Protection Controller (PC), Engineering Supervisor (ES), Lookout (LO), Site Warden (SW), Points Operator (PO), Handsignaller (HS) as well as Safe System of Work Planner (SSOWP).

Conductor Rail Permit & Overhead Line Permit Initial This course is intended to provide a delegate with the skills and underpinning knowledge to carry out the duties of a COSS CRP & COSS OLP.
Conductor Rail Permit & Overhead Line Permit Recertification This course is intended to recertify a delegate’s skills and underpinning knowledge to carry out the duties of a COSS CRP & COSS OLP.
Controller of Site Safety Initial To provide delegates with the skills and underpinning knowledge required to undertake Controller of Site Safety duties in line with the Controller of Site Safety unit of competence. This delegate must be deemed suitable by their primary sponsor to carry out the duties of a Controller of Site Safety. The course includes the importance of using the correct communication protocols and adopting the appropriate behaviours to be able to carry out this role safely and effectively.
Controller of Site Safety Recertification This course is intended to provide a delegate with a reassessment for existing COSS in the procedures requires for the planning and implementing of a Safe System of Work as well as assessing the delegates in the attitudes and behaviours while carrying out the role.
COSS inc. OLP & CRP Initial and PTS & DCCR Recertification To provide delegates with the skills and underpinning knowledge required to undertake Controller of Site Safety duties in line with the Controller of Site Safety unit of competence. This delegate must be deemed suitable by their primary sponsor to carry out the duties of a Controller of Site Safety. The course includes the importance of using the correct communication protocols and adopting the appropriate behaviours to be able to carry out this role safely and effectively. This course also includes OLP & CRP Initial and Personal Track Safety AC & DCCR Recertification.
COSS Recertification inc. OLP, CRP, PTS & DCCR Recert This course is intended to provide a delegate with a reassessment for existing COSS in the procedures requires for the planning and implementing of a Safe System of Work as well as assessing the delegates in the attitudes and behaviours while carrying out the role. If the COSS also holds OLP, CRP, PTS & DCCR, these shall be recertified at the same time.
COSS Workplace Assessment The assessment determines a person’s competency when performing the duties of a COSS against the relevant Network Rail standards NR/L2/CTM/021 and NR/L2/OHS/019 and GE/RT8000 Rule Book. The assessment may be used for either a Post Mentoring Assessment or an Interim Assessment. The assessor should observe the COSS implementing a Safe System of Work in a live working environment for a planned activity. Simulated environments are not permitted.
DC Conductor Rail Initial This course provides the delegates with the Working Near or Adjacent to the DC Conductor Rail competence.
Designated Person This course is intended to provide staff with the necessary skills, knowledge and understanding to undertake the duties of Designated Person in accordance with the competence requirements in Rule Book Module T10
Individual Working Alone Assessment The assessment determines a person’s competency when performing the duties of an Individual Working Alone against the relevant Network Rail standards NR/L2/CTM/021 and NR/L2/OHS/019 and GE/RT8000 Rule Book. This course also includes Personal Track Safety and DCCR Recertification.
Individual Working Alone Recertification This course is a recertification of the delegate’s skills and understanding to carry out the duties of an Individual Working on or Near the Line on their own. This course also includes Personal Track Safety and DCCR Recertification.
Personal Track Safety & DC Conductor Rail Initial To provide delegates with the skills to be able to: • demonstrate their ability to correctly interpret the Rule Book GE/RT 8000 Series or Guide to Personal Track Safety or PTS Key Point Card NR9922 and relevant local instructions when required to go on or near the line. • Demonstrate their understanding and ability to follow a Safe System of Work.
Personal Track Safety & DC Conductor Rail Recertification At the end of the course, delegates will be able to: • demonstrate their ability to correctly interpret the Rule Book GE/RT 8000 Series or Guide to Personal Track Safety or PTS Key Point Card NR9922 and relevant local instructions when required to go on or near the line. • Demonstrate their understanding and ability to follow a Safe System of Work. • If DCCR competence is held, this will be recertificated at the same time as the PTS recertification
Personal Track Safety Initial To provide delegates with the skills to be able to: • demonstrate their ability to correctly interpret the Rule Book GE/RT 8000 Series or Guide to Personal Track Safety or PTS Key Point Card NR9922 and relevant local instructions when required to go on or near the line. • Demonstrate their understanding and ability to follow a Safe System of Work.
Protection Controller Initial This course is intended to provide a delegate with the skills and underpinning knowledge required to undertake Protection Controller duties in line with the Protection Controller unit of competence
Site Warden Initial This course is intended to provide a delegate with the skills, knowledge and behaviours to carry out the duties of a Site Warden.
Site Warden Recertification This course is a recertification of the delegate’s skills and understanding to carry out the duties of a Site Warden.
