ZKL 3000 RC User

Course Aims

This course is designed to develop a person’s knowledge, understanding and skills in conjunction with using the ZKL 3000 RC as a method of protecting a safe system of work when on or near the line on the Network Rail infrastructure.

Learning Objectives

The aim of the course is to provide delegates with the skills and underpinning knowledge required to understand the ZKL 3000 RC and the Dual Inventive App and includes:

• An introduction of the ZKL 3000 RC, MTinfo 3000 and the Dual Inventive App

• How the ZKL 3000 RC operates and can be applied

• How the RS 3000 module enables remote operation of the devics

• A technical appreciation of the MTinfo 3000 system

• How this system fits in with current safe working Rules & Regulations

• An awareness of the do’s and don’ts

Pre Requisite Requirements

The following pre-requisites are required for this course:-
1. Be a minimum age of 18
2. Must hold a valid Sentinel track safety card endorsed with PTS and COSS or IWA
3. Meet the medical requirements of Network Rail Standard NR/L2/OHS/00124 Competence Specific Fitness Medical Requirements
4. Must have a good level of literacy to meet entry qualifications
5. Meet the requirements of Network Rail Standard NR/L1/OHS/051 (Drugs & Alcohol).
6. You must bring evidence of at least 4 entries in the work experience book since the interim assessment

PPE Requirements

This course requires the delegate to be on or near the running line, therefore, they MUST be in possession of:
• Protective “all orange” high Visibility Clothing to BS EN 471
• Safety Footwear to BS EN ISO 20345
• Safety Helmet (white/blue) to BS EN 397
• General Purpose Gloves to BS EN388
• Safety Glasses BS. EN.166 and of Optical Class 1 with Impact Resistance F
