Course Aims
This course is intended to reaffirm the delegate's competence to undertake the duties of a Track Patroller and the method of carrying out these duties in a safe and efficient manner, in accordance with the latest Network Rail Standards.

This course is intended to re-affirm the responsibilities of Certificate holders and review updates to relevant Network Rail Company Standards.
Pre Requisite Requirements
The following pre-requisites are required for this course:-
• Hold a valid Track Patroller certificate
• For any standard changes, it is the sponsor's responsibility to inform the delegate on any changes and for the delegate to be suitably prepared for the theory and practical assessments to take place against the new standard. A brief recap/overview will take place on the new standard before the assessments begin but will NOT involve any training on this.
PPE Requirements
This course requires the delegate to be on or near the running line and therefore, they MUST be in possession of:-
• Valid P.T.S. Card
• Protective “all orange” High Visibility Clothing to ISO 20471
• Safety Footwear to BS EN ISO 20345
• Safety Helmet (white/blue) to BS EN 397
• General Purpose Gloves to BS EN388
• Safety Glasses BS EN166 and of Optical Class 1 with Impact Resistance F
Certification
A Certificate of Competence will be awarded to the delegate upon successful completion of the recertification. Certification is valid for 3 years. A recertification will be required before this period.
