Following completion of the mentoring the delegate will need to be assessed against the requirements of the competence standard in NR/SP/CTM/011 Appendix B.
The certificate will remain valid if supported by annual reviews (years 1 & 2) by the employer to confirm 4 uses of the competence. If annual reviews cannot be undertaken internally, these can be completed externally to confirm competence.
At the 3 year period, the certificate will no longer be valid but the employer will confirm competence by reissue of a new TEF3246 or TEF3306 form following a reassessment of competence as specified in NR/SP/CTM/011. Alternatively, the reassessment of competence can be undertaken externally and a new 3-year competency card would be issued on successful completion.
