Personal Track Safety – Recertification
Course Aims
This course is intended to provide a delegate with a re-assessment in his/her understanding of the Personal Track Safety requirements when working on or near the line.
Learning Objectives
At the end of this course the delegates will be: –
- Fully conversant with requirements of the relevant parts of the Network Rail Track Safety Handbook
Course Duration
One Day, including the assessment process.
Pre-Requisites
Delegates MUST be in possession of: –
- Valid Sentinel Card
- Personal Track Safety Handbook
- Minimum level of medical fitness required is Level 4
- Completed P.T.S. Logbook; signed and reviewed by Line Manager
Personal Protective Equipment
This course is classroom based and therefore no P.P.E. is required.
Certification
This competency is valid for two years. A Network Rail Sentinel card, will be awarded to each successful candidate. Note: Any delegate who is required to work safely near or adjacent to DC conductor rails will have to attend the DC Conductor Rail course which is a separate standalone module.
